Privacy Policy

FerryWatch is built to need as little information about you as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no password. We never ask for your name, email address, or location.
What the app stores
- A random device identifier. Generated on your device the first time you open the app. It exists only so the server knows which watches are yours. It is not derived from your phone, your Apple or Google account, or anything about you, and it cannot identify you.
- Your watches. The route, date, sailing times, and vehicle size you chose. That is travel information you entered, not personal data about you.
- A notification token issued by Apple or Google, used solely to deliver alerts to your device.
What we do not do
- No advertising, ad networks, or ad identifiers.
- No analytics or behavioral tracking.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information, and there is nothing here that would be useful to sell.
Services we rely on
- Expo push notifications — relays alerts to Apple's and Google's notification services.
- RevenueCat — records whether a subscription is active. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
- DigitalOcean — hosts the server that checks sailings.
Deleting your data
Deleting a watch in the app deletes it from the server. Uninstalling the app stops notifications and abandons the device identifier; any remaining watches are removed once their sailing date has passed. You can also email ferrywatch@moonjetty.com and ask us to delete everything associated with your device.
Children
FerryWatch is not directed at children and collects no information about them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will appear at this address.
